Source of Boldness
I won’t keep you in suspense, the source of boldness is knowing that God is with you. Think about it, life is a little like a battle, if a guy approached you with a gun and told you to give him everything you have. Would you attempt to fight this guy? Most likely not. However, let’s say that everywhere you go you have an army of 10k people all armed and ready to fight on your behalf at the slightest hint of danger. Do you think anyone would come against you? And if a guy does approach you with a gun, would you be afraid now? What’s changed, not you, what’s changed is the knowledge of the army that surrounds you. Or in our case the knowledge of just how big and great our God is, how powerful he is, the resources and the army of angels that he commands.
Relationship with God, knowing that he is with us all the time, this is the source of boldness. So how do we increase boldness in the body of Christ? We increase the revelation, or let me put it another way, we increase the awareness of believers to how big God is and that he is with them. If you help someone connect to the fact that God is with them, boldness will become the by product. Romans 8:31 says “If God is for us, who can be against us?”. How true is this statement, if we increase our revelation of this scripture it could change our lives. Therefore, there is no need to be afraid in this world, no matter the situation or the circumstance because God is with you. No scripture demonstrates this point more clearly than Elisha in 2 kings 6:15-17.
When the servant of the man of God got up and went out early the next morning, an army with horses and chariots had surrounded the city. “Oh no, my lord! What shall we do?” the servant asked.
16“Don’t be afraid,” the prophet answered. “Those who are with us are more than those who are with them.”
17And Elisha prayed, “Open his eyes, Lord, so that he may see.” Then the Lord opened the servant’s eyes, and he looked and saw the hills full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.
Elisha understood the reality that there were more for him then those that stood against him. This gave him tremendous boldness, even in the face of the natural circumstances, he stood in confidence knowing that he would have the victory because God was with him. Ask God to open your eyes to see Him more clearly, to see the army that he has around you for your protection. To understand that if He is for you who can be against you.
The next man of God we will look at is David.

Amen, thanks for the comment.
how to ask God to open your eyes to see Him more clearly?
Great question Wahdan, you are God’s daughter and he loves you, he wants to give you the desires of your heart because he has placed them there. Your desire to see him clearly is from him. Spend time in his presence and simply open your heart and ask him that question, God I want to see you more clearly open my eyes. The other thing I would say is to pray scripture, I constantly am praying Ephesians 3:17-20 look up that scripture and declare it over yourself in your time of prayer.
