Happy New Year!

I’m excited for 2019, the Holy Spirit showed me this would be a year for the body of Christ to Rise and Shine.  I don’t know about you but when God speaks something to me sometimes I get confirmations in my everyday life. For example, just the other day I was counting stock in a store and I looked up to see a coffee mug and guess what was written on the side? Rise and Shine. The same day I checked my bank account and saw a withdrawal from my credit card from Rise and Shine, which happens to be the name of the business that runs the Red Rooster near our house. These are some funny coincidences that makes me take notice, God talks in many ways and I felt Him confirming the word each time to my spirit.

I believe God will be releasing a greater revelation that he is with us.  I’m going to be exploring what this means for our lives over the coming couple of months and how we can apply this principle to our lives.  I’m excited to release this revelation as we look through a number of characters from the bible who walked in this understanding.

As part of this revelation I believe at least three things will take place, firstly, boldness will return to believers, secondly, identity will be strengthened in believers lives, thirdly, the fear of God will return to the world.  We will look at each of those going forward.  I believe Isaiah 60:1-6 is an important scripture for this year, so much that I had my sister print it on a shirt for me.  I’m praying this series impacts you. God bless

Isaiah 60:1-6

“Arise, shine, for your light has come,
    and the glory of the Lord rises upon you.
2 See, darkness covers the earth
    and thick darkness is over the peoples,
but the Lord rises upon you
    and his glory appears over you.
3 Nations will come to your light,
    and kings to the brightness of your dawn.

4 “Lift up your eyes and look about you:
    All assemble and come to you;
your sons come from afar,
    and your daughters are carried on the hip.
5 Then you will look and be radiant,
    your heart will throb and swell with joy;
the wealth on the seas will be brought to you,
    to you the riches of the nations will come.
6 Herds of camels will cover your land,
    young camels of Midian and Ephah.
And all from Sheba will come,
    bearing gold and incense
    and proclaiming the praise of the Lord.”
